Notox Box

Next up, I got a Notox Box - This is described as a way to discover the best healthy foods and beauty products. This box is $25 + $7.95 shipping (depending on location).

Each month, you'll receive 5- 8 products including:
  • All products are natural, organic, eco friendly or ethical (cruelty free, sustainable, fairtrade)
  • organic food, health food or superfoods
  • natural and organic skincare and beauty products
  • wellness, eco home or healthy lifestyle products
That was written on their website which you can find here.

Read More Below!

I would like to start by saying I did not receive any  beauty products in my box. As soon as I received it I actually had to go back to the website and check that it should be a health and beauty box. I would then like to second that and say I did not receive any Eco home or healthy lifestyle products. Although I did receive a wellness product. Tampons. A whole box full of healthy eating products and tampons. I felt like it was a bit of an odd box to receive to be honest.

In my box were a range of food items. I got a rice - popcorn looking breakfast addition. This should be added to a breakfast cereal or used as a lighter alternative to oats. I also received dried papaya pieces, a voucher for healthy food online, a bounce ball (a collection of fruit, nuts and grains in a healthy ball to give you bounce), a raw food bar - which I think everyone by this point has either seen or eaten. Last but not least I received Moxie organic tampons and my favourite of all (sarcasm) a cinnamon drink. It is supposed to be a great way to start the day and a healthy drink with lots of antioxidants. It looks like dirt, but I am willing to give it a go and I'm sure I will sometime very soon because for the money I paid I don't want to waste anything in this box!

My Verdict: I won't get this box again. I mainly subscribe to things for the beauty products - because I love trying new products and to see if the Eco products live up to their chemical counterparts. I was so excited to get this box because I want to start to eat healthier but also to use the beauty products and I've seen previous boxes which include things such as chia shots and smoothie packs which is what I would have loved to have seen. Although I'm tossing up if I should get another just to see if they incorporate beauty products this time or not. I'm not too sure but I guess we'll see!

  1. Hi Rebecca, thanks for your review.

We'd just like to note that our box is $25 including free shipping in Australia. Our theme is to provide natural & non toxic products.

A big part of our philosophy is about making better food choices, and helping people get started finding more natural alternatives. We don't aim to be a beauty subscription box, and you'll find other boxes much more suited for this.

As we can only highlight 5-8 items each box, every month is different and includes a selection of products. As we have pretty strict guidelines for ingredients, philosophy and manufacture, this can mean we get pretty picky with choosing beauty products to feature, and therefore cannot include them in every box.

    Thanks for the feedback though.

    1. Hello!

I completely understand, although as my first box and signing up because I was interested in finding out more about all of the above, not just the foods. I had the plan of giving all the healthy foods to my partner and keeping the rest as I am more into the home/beauty/skincare products so I guess that side of it was a bit disappointing as I got nothing out of it haha! But that's fine, i'm staying subscribed to check out next month's box.

      Thanks,
      Rebecca
