Lust Have It FaB Box August 2014

So I just received the Lust Have It August FaB (Fashion and Beauty) Box. This one came quite late - I got it on Monday the 8th of September when it was actually the August box. Anyway, it was worth the wait (I think) because I love what was in it.

Take a peek!

Now this box is great for me because I love nail polish (and barely buy it) I tend to rely on my beauty boxes for some nice ones. Luckily they came through! But I can imagine why some people would be disappointed. If you don't like nail polish or bright jewelry then this would be a bit of a bummer box as that's all it was. Having said that, I'm happy as Larry.

The nail polishes listed are Butter London - Retailing for $22 each they are up there with higher priced nail polishes. Luckily they are fantastic quality. I actually own one already in Yummy Mummy (Medium Brown) and they are lovely. It has lasted me a very long time without drying out - and they are all 3 free. That means they're formulated without Formaldehyde, Tolueve, DBP and Parabens. Don't confuse this with the smell and think they won't smell bad because they still really do!

The colour nail polishes were actually listed on an online vote a month or two ago, and you could vote for your favourite three. Little did we know we would actually get three! I voted for 2 of the 3 of these, and the third will put me out of my comfort zone. Something I don't tend to do as I don't receive really out there colours from my usual palette but one is very different so I'll give it a go.

Nail polish colours are Lovely Jubbly (Purple Glitter), British Racing Green (Dark Green) and Crumpet (Nude). I voted for both Lovely Jubbly and Crumpet so i'm more than happy to have both! Now these retail at $22 and they are all full size so that already gives the full value and more. They come with rectangular lids and bottles which is amazing for storage, but the top pops off for a circular handle which is also convenient for use. And comes with the cutest bird on top!

Also included was the jewelry. Included was a necklace and a bracelet. I may (or may not) wear the bracelet but I will definitely wear the necklace from time to time. Unfortunately mine came missing a gem but it isn't so noticeable so I wouldn't ask for a replacement. They are also quite heavy which usually signals them being of somewhat good quality as opposed to the cheap thin light jewelry. I'm so happy with these.

Overall, I loved this box. It is $35 a month and it is monthly. You can buy it here. Even though it is a higher amount to pay for a beauty box, I think it is worth it. This is my second FaB box, and after the first one I actually really, really considered cancelling because I was soooo underwhelmed by what I got. This one has completely overwhelmed me and put my faith back in Lust Have It. This has been (or was) a fantastic month for Lust Have It and I am so so glad they have obviously listened to customer feedback, also asking our opinions on which colours we would most like as I'm sure it really makes a difference.

Lately I have been culling my subscriptions to beauty boxes as some haven't been cutting the mustard for at least two months running. I always get in contact with customer service first to see what is going on or what they are doing to help, and if they are rude or not at all helpful, that's when it's the last strike and I tend to cancel. A few have been lost along the way but I still have a few going strong!

Bec x
