Storage

I thought I would do something a little different. I always go through people's blogs and one of the most interesting things I find is how people store their makeup, clothes, perfume, jewelry etc and what people think is too much or even too little. I've seen a lot of people who limit their perfume collection to about 5 to give themselves a signature scent/scents. I can't see to limit myself in any capacity when it comes to beauty and fashion products so I thought I would give you guys an insight into my storage and collections.

My Makeup Storage:

I have only recently put an end to the "throw everything in the bathroom top draw" storage method with my makeup. We moved from a place where I didn't have a lot of bench space to a place where I have all I could want. So I decided to pick up these oh so glamorous acrylic makeup storage containers from themakeupboxshop.com which give you so many different choices - but of course I went for the Kardashian set (I have an obsession) Which includes the flip top storage container and the flip top nail polish storage container. Also on top of my flip top storage container I have a cheap acrylic lipstick holder that I just got off eBay for about $5, if that.

These may not be the most glamorous photos, but trying not to capture my reflection while I'm walking around makeup free, hair in a bun and in a robe actually proves to be quite difficult.

On top of my storage I keep my face products (foundation, concealer, powders), and my lipsticks in my holder, as well as 3 of my regularly used EOS balms for easy usage. I also include my brushes in a cute little glass jar filled with rice. I only discovered this lately and it was a god send. In the top of my flip top nail polish holder I actually have another two glass jars with my cotton tips and cotton swabs. So handy for makeup removal, along with my body products that I use daily (Thank god it all fits). In the second drawer of my nail polish stand is all my polishes and in the bottom drawer is where I store my cards that tell me the uses for all the samples I have! Some samples are in french, not that I don't wish I could speak French, but I can't. Sorry.

To the next drawer down in my makeup storage, all my eyeliners and mascaras (yes they take a whole drawer).
Third space down is blush, highlighter, bronzer, etc etc etc. You know the jist.
Fourth space is all my other lip products, fifth is eyeshadows and sixth is all my miscellaneous items such as contacts and tweezers, yes I am pretty sight restricted. Just kidding, but I do need contacts.

Next is....

Wardrobe

Trying to fly through this is pretty hard but I want to fit everything into a post!

As you can see, I actually don't have a huge pile of clothes! I have managed to really cull my wardrobe as I wanted to have more quality over quantity clothing. I had so many statement pieces then I realized that I actually hate wearing a lot of colour, so I got rid of all those pieces and started to work with my Black, White and Greys. I also have storage just above this, but it gets a little messy!

Perfume and Jewelry

Now, these start to blend together due to the fact they are right next to each other. I'm not a huge jewelry wearer so don't expect a lot!

Now, as I said it all blends together just a little bit. My mirrored tray that holds my perfumes was actually also from themakeupboxshop.com - only $55 including postage which is an amazing price for the size. Again, I have no idea how people can stick to the few perfumes that they do because that just baffles me!

My jewelry case was given to me by my partner for Christmas last year. He has horrible taste in everything girly but somehow managed to pick this beauty out and I have loved it ever since!

What do you guys think, do you have any storage solutions you would like to share and how do you store all your treasures?

Bec x
