Top 5 Eyeliners for the Perfect Wing.

So, I remember back in year 8, sitting on the floor in my friends' room, looking in her mirror attempting to perfect the winged/top eyeliner look. I started early, and thank god. Because I needed all the help and practice I could get. It took me a long time to find the perfect eyeliner to use on my upper eyelashes, and to create the perfect winged eyeliner. To an extent, I think I will always be on the hunt for the perfect eyeliner, but I've found the few for me.

I've put together a list of my top 5 eyeliners for a top eyelid/wing. A few of them have different methods to apply, and it's just finding what suits you!

Read Ahead!

1. Lime Crime Liquid Eyeliners. This is my holy grail eyeliner that I use 99% of the time above all else. It has a fine brush tip end, and the small top makes it so easy to hold and just drag along the top of your eye. They stay on ALL day long and unless you use eye makeup remover, it's pretty much guaranteed to still be there when you wake up. Every colour is so pigmented, and when you have colours such as yellow and purple, they make your eyes pop! At a price of around $14 (Depending where you buy from) there is no excuse as to why you can't try it for yourself!

2. YSL Noir Liquid Eyeliner. Before I came across Lime Crime, I came across this YSL beauty. Again with a screw off top and fine tip, it is perfect to control to get the perfect wing. And the gold packaging is just too beautiful to resist. This formula dries extremely quickly, which is a good thing, trust me. The difference to Lime Crime is, this eyeliner can be taken off with a good eye makeup remover, or you can simply peel it off. It must have a silicone aspect to it, but it is amazing. It doesn't rub or smudge either and it it incredibly pigmented (no going over it twice!). You can buy this for around $60.

3. Napoleon Perdis China Doll Eyeliner. This is the best gel eyeliner I have come across to date. Also one of the very few I have repurchased after going right through it! I use a slanted eyeliner brush to apply, and it is a little harder to get the hang of, although when you finally do, the end result is more than worth it. Just make sure if you haven't used this method before that you keep a few Q-Tips handy! Retails at $39 from Napoleon Perdis.

4. Maybelline Line Stiletto. Again one of the few I have repurchased (about 4 times!). This eyeliner is liquid form, with a twist top. It actually doesn't go on with a brush though, it is a felt tip, almost like a felt pen, although it bends and flexes for easy application. This isn't all that pigmented, and you do need to go over it a couple of times, it also dries out fairly quickly, but the result is amazing and it is one of the easiest I have found to apply.

5. Benefit They're Real! Eyeliner. Now I know what you're thinking, I'm sure everyone has heard many mixed reviews about this, and I also have mixed reviews, but with the purpose of finding the perfect wing, forward I go. When I first heard about this, I jumped right on the bandwagon and decided to give it a go. At first, I hated the pencil form (I still do) and I'm not a huge fan of the fact that it is a gel either. But, in saying that, after many days practice (and I'm not exaggerating, many days!) It does give you an amazing wing. It is very hard at first, but when you get used to it, and find which way to hold it works best for you, it really is great. It also dries fairly quickly, and you cannot reapply afterwards, but hell, it looks nice!

Do you guys have any eyeliners you think I should try to achieve the perfect wing?

Bec xx
